Homework
Please check out your child's homework in their Home Fun Book. It is now vital that this book, along with the contents of your child's book bag travels between home and school each day.

Yellow Folder
If your child is away please check their page in this clearfile. Newsletters, notices, or homework that is missed because your child is away will be saved for them in this folder. It will be your child's responsibility to check their page when they return to school. This folder can be found on the reading shelf just inside the front door of our classroom door.

Home Fun Starts this week
Hi Everyone
Homework will begin this week. This week homework will consist of reading after school for 10 minutes each evening and learning to spell 10 words that align with our contraction spelling focus.
Next week your child will also be able to log onto StudyLadder to complete fun activities that support classroom learning. They will also need to post a learning reflection on their own blog.
Each day parents will need to sign the homework sheet in Home Fun books to show that homework has been completed.
Any students who do not have access to the internet at home can make an arrangement to complete these tasks for 10-15 minutes between 8.30 and 9am at school.
Regards
Sonya Harris

Check Out our Blog
Hi Everyone,
Please check in on our class blog regularly. The students and I will do our best to keep you up to date with what is happening at school. This year we have some new features which will have a big impact on classroom learning.
On the Student Blog Links Page you will find links to your child's own blog. This will be their space to reflect on their learning and a space to record the completion of homework.
At the moment your child has a Home Fun communication book but towards the end of the year we will be working towards doing a lot of this on line. Homework will start in Week 3 and weekly homework can be found on our Home Fun page.
Please make a list of any questions you have and bring them to the Meet the Teacher evening next week.
Regards
